Thank you for visiting our website! The safety and wellbeing of your child is our number one priority. Our professional, caring, and highly trained staff of 58 takes great pride in our profession and this can be seen through every facet of our operation. On average, our department safely transports 4,000+ students well over 650,000 miles per year with 49 buses, all of which are equipped with audio/video surveillance systems and two-way radios. Our mechanics (Jeff Dunn, Gary Harlow, & Chade Spencer) are always on top of what is changing in school bus technology and work diligently to ensure that your child is always being transported in a bus that exceeds safety expectations set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier. Our driver trainer (Connie Koon) is constantly researching laws and different approaches to our profession so that your child’s driver is trained well above what is expected by the Federal Motor Carrier. Our administrative staff (Tim Morris & Matt Roberts) are always a phone call away. We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have and to promptly fix any issues that may arise.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I know which school my child will attend?
To find out the school in your attendance zone call the Bus Garage
    931-723-5157.
  • How do I find out my child’s bus stop information, including bus number and stop times?
This information can be found by calling the Bus Garage 931-723-5157.
  • My child is not assigned to a bus. How do I get my child assigned to a bus and how long will it take?
You can contact the Bus Garage 931-723-5157. In most cases, your child will be able to ride the bus that day.
  • Can I request a different bus than the one my child is assigned to?
Every student is assigned to a specific bus based on the location of their bus stop. We will not alter the bus that a student rides unless it’s absolutely necessary. If your child is having issues on the bus, please call the Bus Garage 931-723-5157.
  • We have moved and I need to change my child’s address.
Contact the school your child will attend for assistance.
  • My child’s bus has not shown up and/or is consistently late. Who can I call?
Please call the Bus Garage 931-723-5157. To save fuel and taxpayer money, our drivers are instructed to stop going to a bus stop when a student has not been picked up there for 3 consecutive days. The guardian will need to contact the Bus Garage when they would like to resume bus transportation.
  • The bus did not show up on time for my child. How long should he/she wait at the stop?
Your child should arrive at the stop at least ten minutes before the regular arrival time of the bus. If there is a substitute driver, the times may not be absolutely consistent with the regular times. If the bus is late, ask your child to remain at the stop. Buses break down, roads are blocked, drivers become ill or have emergencies, but there will always be a bus at every stop. If the wait becomes extreme, please call the Bus Garage 931-723-5157.
  • Can my child stay inside the house until the bus arrives at the bus stop each morning?
It is the parent’s responsibility to have their child at the designated bus stop waiting for the bus. Please have your child stand at the end of your driveway to ensure that the driver can see them when approaching. The bus will not stop at an empty driveway.
  • Can my child be picked up or dropped off at a daycare or place of business?
Our buses do not stop at places of business. If you wish for your child to be dropped off at a daycare, please contact the Bus Garage 931-723-5157 to ask if this can be accommodated.
  • What do I do if I need my child to be picked up or dropped off temporarily at another location other than their assigned stop?
Stop locations are determined by the student’s Student Information Form. If your child is to get off at a different location, a note written by the parent should be given to administration at the child’s assigned school. This note should include the actual drop off location and contact information of the adult that will be taking the child from the bus. School administration will sign the note and your child should give the bus driver a copy of the note.
  • Can school buses travel on private streets?
School buses can only travel on state or county maintained roads or currently approved subdivisions.
  • Is transportation provided for students who do not live in the attendance area for the school they attend?
No. If your child attends school out of district, transportation is not provided.
  • Why are buses sometimes late?
School buses drivers can have the same reasons as motorists for being late. Traffic delays, trains, weather conditions, accidents or driver’s illness are just a few reasons. School buses also have mechanical breakdowns that cause delays in picking students up on time. In cases where the regularly assigned bus or driver is unable to pick up students, a separate bus and driver are dispatched to pick up the students as quickly as possible.
  • Who do I contact if I or my child is having issues with the driver or other students?

Please contact the Bus Garage 931-723-5157 with the following information: Bus number, time of incident, & location of the incident.

  • Who do I contact if I notice a bus driving recklessly?
Please contact the Bus Garage 931-723-5157 with the following information: Bus number, time of incident, & location of the incident.
