Third Grade
               2000

Our third grade teacher, Mrs. Condra, has an M.A.
degree from Trevecca plus 45 hours.  Her hobbies
are gardening, reading, and cooking for her
grandchildren. She has two white cats,
"Little Bit" and "Nosey", and a dog named "Onyx."
She has three daughters, and five grandsons.
One grandson, Luke, is in Mrs. Cheatham's
class, and Alec, a second grandson, began
Kindergarten with Miss Debbie this year.
Mrs. Condra likes to teach social studies and
enjoys reading aloud to her third graders.
When her oldest daughter was eight months old,
Mrs. Condra traveled over Europe with her husband
and new baby.  They camped everywhere, including
a sheep pasture in New South Wales.  She has done
extensive volunteer work with the Girl Scouts.

Third Graders'
Library Art Project

As part of their art award project,
third graders did "Shrink Art".

First they prepared the surface by sanding it,
then drew or traced their design onto the
shrink film.

Sometimes a favorite character from a book,
such as Harry the Dirty Dog, was chosen.

Some chose pictures of a favorite animal.

After careful tracing or drawing..........

..........the design was colored in
with special soft-lead art pencils

During baking, the film shrinks
to 40% of its original size,
