Earth
Day
2000

Mrs. Foster brought her mower, wagon, and tools.
She helped with the planting and mulching.
Her Girl Scout Troop plans some beautification
work around the school for their service project
this summer.

It's a big job, but someone's got to do it.

Everyone "digs in".

Due to last summer's drought, we
lost some of our trees and shrubs.
The dead ones were removed.

Dr. Walden provided some new shrubs, trees,
and a large truckload of mulch.

Some of the boys from Mrs. Smotherman's
Multi-Age class loaded the mulch for distribution
around the new plantings.

Pebble Patrol

Raking them smooth

"There's so many of them........"

Let's get those pebbles
back in the right place.

The main project for the fourth graders
was to improve the playground.  The students
reclaimed many of the scattered pebbles under
the playground equipment.
