	Support the teacher and her decisions in the classroom!!!
	Hillsboro is always searching for dependable and hard-working individuals to volunteer for various events.  We need volunteers to help copy papers for teachers, Spring Fling, Tiger Trot, and homecoming.  If you can volunteer, even just one day a week or for one event, contact Suzi Boyd.
	Make sure your Bi-Lo Bonus Card, Kroger Card, etc. are registered for a percentage to go to Hillsboro.
	When you buy school supplies at Office Max, be sure to tell them it is for Hillsboro Elementary!!!
	Donations of school and office supplies, books, games, toys, etc. are always greatly appreciated.  You may donate these items to classrooms, or you may donate new or like new items to the AR store. The AR store is a great place to get rid of those “Happy Meal” toys that wind up under your feet at 2 a.m.
	Support the fund raisers that we have at the school.  They raise valuable and needed money for various school and student needs.
	Be sure your child is at school and on time each day.  If attendance stays above a certain percentage and our TCAP scores are good, we get much needed extra funding (Value-added).
	Make sure all your child's assignments are completed and completed on-time.
	Be sure you teach your child how important an education is!! Get them to school on time, show interest in their work and what they are learning, and talk positively about education to your child.
