Dear
Parent(s) or Guardian,
Today while doing head checks at school,
your child _________ was found to have nits (lice eggs). If you have recently treated your child for
head lice, please note that the products on the market do not always kill all
the nits. If these nits survive, they
will hatch and your child will have a new infestation of head lice within a few
weeks. The key to ridding your
child and your home of lice is to remove all the nits (lice eggs) after
treatment.
If you have not recently treated your
child for head lice, you may want to consider doing so if you find any live
bugs.
I understand that this is a difficult
cycle to break and if I can be of any assistance to you and your family please
contact me at 596-2775.
Sincerely,
Jan
