Mrs. Dickinson in the library at Hillsboro Elementary School
Mrs. Dickinson was born in Nashville "smack dab" in the middle of the 20th Century. She graduated from  Tennessee Technological University with a B.S. in Secondary Education English and moved to Jacksonville, Florida, where she taught 7th grade English for five years. She then went to Florida State University (Go Seminoles!) where she earned a Master of Library Science (MLS) degree. After serving as an elementary school librarian in Jacksonville for 13 years, she returned to Tennessee and has been the librarian at Hillsboro since 1991.

Nancy Dickinson, Librarian
In 2003, Mrs. Dickinson served as the President of the Tennessee Association of School Librarians. She is presently the Director of Region IV of the American Association of School Librarians, representing TN, KY, SC, NC, VA, and WV.

Other than kids and libraries, she loves her dogs, Betsy and Frannie,  her cat, Rocky, and the Tennessee Titans
