Snowbird from Channel 4 visits our school and helps kick off the Harvest Carnival.  I hope he remembers Hickerson this winter.	The students at Hickerson got to go see the play the Wizard of Oz, starring Dr. Shemwell as the Wizard, Mrs. Brock as the wicked witch, along with some students from Hickerson.	The group called The Standards, sang to our school during  an assembly about working together as a team and saying NO TO DRUGS!
Dr. Shemwell seemed to appreciate the "Kitty Litter Cake" the staff fixed for Bosses Day.	The Kindergarten's visited the Tullahoma Fire Dept. during Fire Prevention Week!	Then the Kindergartner's went to the Imagination Station to play!

The Pre-Kindergarten visit the airport in Tullahoma and get to climb inside the Life Flight helicopter from Vanderbilt.
David M. Sargent, Jr., an author, talks to students and shows them one of his characters in his book, his dog, Buffy.	Mr. Sargent shows another character from  his books, his dog, Vera.	Dr. Walden past Principal at Jones Elementary and a school board member read to students during National Reader's Day.
Mrs. Qualls shared her interest in restoring old cars on National Reader's Day with students.	This special guest brought along a police dog during National Reader's Day.	This special guest, who choreographed the Wizard of Oz play, taught the students some of the dance moves after he read to them.
