Algebra 2 Class Expectations Mrs. Skipper

EXPECTATIONS:  When the tardy bell rings, you must be in your seat ready to begin class. The consequences are as follows: First offence – Verbal warning, 2^nd offence – 5 point deportment cut, 3^rd offence - 5 point deportment cut, 4^th offence - office referral, 5^th offence – ISD. Have your homework on your desk ready to be checked.  I will walk around the room at the beginning of class to check your homework, and I will have the answers projected on the overhead. You should check your work as I go around the room.

Respond promptly to teacher directions and remain in your seat if the teacher leaves the room. Remain attentive to the task at hand the entire period.

Take your bathroom breaks before class.  Do not ask to leave the classroom unless it is an emergency.   

Raise your hand to ask a question or make a comment.  Talking without being called upon, passing notes, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

Cheating in any form is wrong. Do your best work and do not loan your homework paper to a friend. You are only causing him or her to get further behind and putting both of you in danger of getting zeros.

All school-wide policies will be strictly enforced in my classroom.  These include the dress code, eating off limits, defacing property, etc.  Make sure that you have read your student handbook and are aware of these policies.

Students are expected to be respectful and courteous not only to me, but also to your classmates.
