Mrs. Pedigo’s

Classroom

Expectations

1.           Remember to bring everything to class you need and be prepared for the work at hand.  (Paper, completed homework, pencil, textbook, calculator, folder, and graph paper.)

2.           All students are to be in their seats and quiet when the bell rings and remain quiet until the roll is checked.  Sharpen pencils before the bell rings.  The minute of silence will be observed at 8:00.

3.           Respond promptly to the directions of the teacher and stay in your seat if the teacher leaves the room.

4.           Remain attentive to the task at hand during the full period.

5.          It is everyone’s responsibility to keep the room neat.  DO NOT WRITE ON THE DESK!

6.           Bring a signed note from your parent or guardian stating the reason for any absence and place on the lectern before the bell rings.  This includes checking out of school.  Makeup work due to absenteeism is your responsibility.  Next day makeup is preferred, but all makeup must be completed within 3 days after you return to school.  An assignment sheet will be posted in the room.  No class work or tests can be made up for an unexcused absence.  See the student handbook for valid excuses.

7.           The following forms of misconduct will result in immediate, appropriate punishment:  a) tardiness, b) throwing any object, c) horseplay, d) unnecessary talking, e) putting your head down on your desk, or f) any action on your part which prevents other students from learning.

8.          Cheating in any form is wrong.  Do your best work and do not loan your homework paper to a friend.  You are only causing him or her to get further behind and putting both of you in danger of getting zeros.

9.          During a fire drill, exit the room quietly and orderly through Mrs. McIntosh’s room.  For a tornado, crouch or remain near the wall of the corridor.  Crawling under a desk or other object is recommended.

10.     Remember the four basic operations:

Add courtesy and consideration of one another,

Subtract bad study habits,

Multiply your knowledge of mathematics, and

Divide your tasks in cooperative learning.

WE CAN HAVE A GREAT YEAR TOGETHER IF EVERYONE COOPERATES.
