Ready-to-Work Initiative

In collaboration with area-wide businesses and industries, Motlow State Community College has developed a special “Ready-to-Work” initiative designed to assist community residents in meeting the needs of the local workplace. A certificate program that consists of four non-credit courses, or modules, that encompass a basic body of knowledge considered essential by local businesses and industries is available. The completion of one or more of these modules will serve as a vital step in improving an individual’s employment possibilities.

Each module will be approximately four hours in duration and will be conducted in the evening hours, e.g., 4:30 – 8:30 p.m., during the normal work week in order to accommodate as many participants as possible. Read more.

Sewanee

Looking for a way to jump-start the college search and application process for your students this summer? The Office of Admission at Sewanee would like to help.

The University of the South invites your rising seniors, juniors, and sophomores to join us for Admission 101, a day-long program to demystify the college search and admission process. We'll show them how to make the most of a campus visit, ace the admission interview, find ways to pay for education, and ultimately choose the college that's right for them.

This year students can attend Admission 101 either on June 18, or on July 12. Register by June 11 for the June 18 program, or by July 5 for the July 12 program. Register online, or call 800.522.2234.
