Beta Bears -  (Project Leader: Lori Gesell / Sponsor Contact: Mike Ray Room 44)

Betas are asked to bring in a new or gently used Teddy Bear to donate to the Coffee County Sheriff's Department for distribution to children in crisis.  These bears can help alleviate the pain of young children who our law enforcement come in contact with. Project begins September 4 and concludes September 18.

SafeSpace – (Project Leader: Bridget Snell / Sponsor Contact: Lana Ray Room 130)

October is Domestic Violence Month This project allows the Beta members to fill shoe boxes with items for victims of domestic violence. The boxes will be donated to the Haven of Hope organization in Manchester. The club members are asked to bring in empty shoe boxes and items to place in each box.  Items can include travel-size personal hygiene for women and children. Also small toys can be brought in for the kids. Pens, gum and writing stationary are great articles as well.  Project begins October 9 through October 23..  Check out the Haven of Hope website @  http://www.shelbyville.tec.tn.us/haven/  to learn more about domestic violence and the traits of a healthy family.
