What is P3?

P3 is a symbol for the idea of “Positive Peer Pressure”.  Peer pressure is usually considered a negative force.  Students in this organization work to use the influence they have on their peers to help them make healthy lifestyle choices and remain free of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. 

Vision

P3 seeks to empower students to make wise decisions and exert a positive influence on others. 

Mission

The mission of P3 is to promote a positive atmosphere for students that will enable them to make right choices concerning the use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs as well as sexual abstinence. 

 

Motto

Doing what’s popular is not always right and doing what’s right is not always popular.

 

Beliefs

ü       Students can be empowered to lead others.

ü       Students who recognize their true self worth will be more likely to influence others in a positive way.

ü       When give adequate information, students are able to make better decisions and create a healthy lifestyle.

ü       Students want to live healthy, productive and successful lives. 

ü       When students learn to set goals and priorities for their lives, they can avoid choices that prevent them from achieving those goals.
