Kenny
Casteel, Deputy Director of Schools
As the Deputy Director, my
responsibilities are many. Some of the
areas I am responsible for, but not limited to, are transportation, maintenance
and support personnel. Other areas
include safety management, teacher license and certification, and maintenance
of policy. I also work with many legal
aspects, building programs and bidding procedures.
My profession as an educator
began in 1976 as a teacher. Since then,
the importance of education has been a big part of my life. As I developed additional interpersonal
skills as a teacher, I realized education is the most important process of our
community and nation. It is the
responsibility of every citizen to make necessary sacrifices to promote the
educational success for all children.
The progress and future of our country will always be determined by the
support through productive and promotional education policy.
I encourage you to be a part
of the educational process. For the
needs of our youth to be met, it will require the efforts of each one of us.
Our future lies with in our children and education will guide their
direction. We see hopes and dreams
through our children but we also recognize the results of our own effort and
sacrifice. Due to the efforts of many
people, our community is as excellent place to live and raise children. In order to continue this progress I hope
each of us realize the importance education plays in this growth.
