10-8-08 Regular Monthly Meeting**Great
meeting!! 41 members attended either the morning or afternoon meeting. 4 adult
sponsors also attended this meeting. We were honored to have our newest school
board member, Mrs. Janet Galyen, Leslie Brasfield, Coordinates School Health
Director and Kristina Clark, CCADC Director as a guests at these meetings. We conducted Team building activity called
the “Human Knot”. Very successful! Excellent comments and discussion by our
club members! Lesson learnedàGood

Officers/PLC Meeting
Great Meeting! 10 Leaders present!
Mr. Ray was out of town on a mission trip to Russia. Mrs. Lana Ray met with
the officers/leaders below her home to develop a tentative calendar of
activities for the month of October based on the 08-09 TAP plan developed at
ETTI '08. We reviewed and finalized
planned activities for Red Ribbon week to coincide with the efforts of the
Coffee County Anti-Drug Coalition (CCADC).
Discussed plans for the induction dinner on Oct 28th. We also discussed the requirements and
application process for being a YAB or COG at ETTI ‘09 10 p3

Wright, Peer Leadership Council member 9-10-08 P-cubed Fair Booth – ATOD Awareness and
Prevention campaign: We used the "Coffee County Schools" Fair
booth to share info with parents and youth in our county on the dangers of ATOD
use as well as tips on prevention for parents. We will also had a
"game" (the duck game) for children under 5. We ad small prizes
for them if the pick a certain duck and a bigger prize if they pick the p-cubed
duck. The purpose is to draw in parents of young children so that we can
share some parenting tips on prevention.
One particular brochure that was given to every parent visiting the
booth was entitled, “Your Child: Advice By Age”
found at www.drugfree.org . We also provided parents the opportunity to
get the latest fact sheet from www.drugfree.org
entitled, “Preventing
Teen abuse of Prescription Drugs”

Coffee County Anti-Drug Coalition booth/table during the first half of our
first home football game sharing information on the dangers of inhalant use and
signing up people for a drawing to win a $20.00 gift card from Cracker Barrel.
This campaign is an effort to increase awareness in our community about
the dangers of abusing alcohol, tobacco or other drugs. In order to
enter, contestants had to guess the answer to an inhalant awareness question.
Last night's Q&A was, " Q: What percent of adolescents who
died from inhalant use were actually 1st time users? - A: 20% of the
deaths due to inhalant use were attributed to the individual’s first time use
of this drug 200

more about stereotyping and how to deal with being stereotyped. Very successful! Excellent comments and discussion by our club members! 9-7-08

Our newly elected P3 leaders met with Kristina Clark, Director CCADC and
2 sponsors, Mike & Lana Ray at their home to develop a tentative calendar
of activities for the month of Sept and October based on the 08-09 TAP plan
developed at ETTI '08. We planed
activities for Red Ribbon week to coincide with the efforts of the Coffee
County Anti-Drug Coalition (CCADC). We
planned our activities for 2008 Coffee County Fair. We ended the meeting by showing a slideshow of pictures from ETTI

drawing to win a $20.00 gift card from Cracker Barrel. This campaign is
an effort to increase awareness in our community about the dangers of abusing
alcohol, tobacco or other drugs. In order to enter, contestants had to
guess the answer to an under-age drinking awareness question. Last
night's Q&A was, " Q: What percent of adolescents said they had

tobacco issues and signing up people for a drawing to win a $25.00 gift card
from Cracker Barrel. This campaign is an effort to increase awareness in
our community about the dangers of abusing alcohol, tobacco or other drugs.
In order to enter, contestants had to guess the answer to a tobacco
awareness question. Last night's Q&A was, " Q: How many
people in the U.S. die from tobacco related illnesses every day? - A: 1200
people die everyday in the U.S. as a result of using tobacco." 128

Coffee County Anti-Drug Coalition's Question of the Night is ... “How many
people in the U.S. die from tobacco related illnesses every day?” The winning
answer is 1200 people die every day as a result of using tobacco. This campaign
is an effort to increase awareness in our community about the dangers of
abusing alcohol, tobacco or other drugs. Our winning contestant _______ , has
won a $25 gift card from Cracker Barrel by having the first correct answer

Sponsor Reports to Coffee County Health Council on our partnership with Coordinated
School Health Director, Leslie Brasfield. Lana Ray provided the council with a
handout entitled, “What is P3?” which included a statement regarding
our plans to work with Coordinated School Health efforts to reduce teen
pregnancy. This council meeting included approximately 32 community leaders and
professionals in a variety of fields including Health Care and Education. No
student members of p-cubed attended this meeting. 7-30-08
CCCHS Parent/Student Orientation – A
booth was set up in our school's commons area to introduce students and parents
to our club. Our club members who worked explained the philosophy of P-cubed
and wore their shirts stating : “P3 leads...follow us”. We had
students sign a sheet if they wanted more information on how to join this club.

event was attended by approximately 200 students and parents. July
17th Anti-Drug Coalition Meeting & Presentation - During this meeting, 1 P3 member, Amanda
Wright and 1 sponsors, Lana Ray presented our 2008-2009 TAP plan to our
Anti-Drug Coalition (25 adults) Our presentation include pictures from ETTI
2008 and a report of our camp activities. June
16th TAP Presentation & Planning Meeting with
CCCHS Principal (June 16th ) During this meeting, 8 P3 members and 3 sponsors, Mike
& Lana Ray and Kristina Clark, presented our 2008-2009 TAP plan to our
principal, Mrs. Duvall. The students also conducted a sexual abstenance skit
for the principal as an example of the types of ATOD presentations we will be
conducting this year for our entire student body. The students and sponsors
also presented a fall calendar of activities for the principal's approval. The

13th Officers/PLC Meeting ( June 13th ) 10 of our newly elected P3 leaders met with 2
sponsors, Mike & Lana Ray at their home to develop a tentative 2008-2009
calendar of activities based on the 08-09 TAP plan developed at ETTI '08. We
used the student versions of this TAP plan from their ETTI notebooks. June
2nd – 6th Leadership Training 20
P3 students from CCCHS attended the East TN Teen Institute with the help of the
Coffee County Anti-Drug Coalition, Coffee County Sheriff’s Dept. , Manchester
City Policy and the Manchester Chapter of the Salvation Army!!!! We also had
one student, Greg Ray, who was on staff at this leadership camp for ATOD
prevention. Lana Ray, Mike Ray, and Sid Hill will be team advisors/sponsors as
well as Kristina Clark, Director of the Coffee County Anti-drug Coalition. We
had an awesome week! To all of our CHS P3 members who attended… “Ohhhhhh…Good

We had a display on the dangers of tobacco as well as brochures available for
anyone interested. The club members listed above talked with 128 people
and got them to enter our drawing by trying to answer our tobacco awareness
question. At half-time a drawing was held and we drew out entries until
we got a correct answer. Scott Vaughn made our Public Service
Announcement for approximately 3000 people in attendance at the game. The
contents of this PSA are below. We will continue this service project
through the 2008 CCCHS Football Season.
